In this video, we link the list of COBie room from Excel to the Rooms in the Element table.

The link to the data is in the parameters of each room. So we start by making a reference table of the Instance Parameter table. We filter this table to only look at the parameter Descriptor = Cobie Space Name.

Now when we import the COBie table from Excel, we link it with the new table we created that only has the Cobie Space Name parameter values. After this link is merged, we extract the Element column, this now allows us to link our COBie Excel data to the Revit Room Elements.

Once this data link is created, we can create our reports to list any discrepencies between both sources of data.
